Since April is National Letter Writing Month, I thought I would share ideas for letter writing prompts to use in this age of digital communication. If you are looking for additional resources, these are are a few of my favorites from my research: ThinkMakeShare Blog and Write On.
Just for Adults
- Compliment a coworker.
- Thank a mentor.
- Thank a first responder and/or a member of the armed services.
- Send a note to your child’s teacher.
- Wish someone good luck.
- Let someone know you are thinking of them.
- Write to your child and let them know how much you love them.
- Belated thank you.
- Write a note to your future self.
Just for Kids
Some of the above ideas work great for kids as well. But here are a few more just for kids.
- Send a letter to mom or dad telling them how much you love them.
- Say “hi” to your grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins.
- Send a note to your teacher.
- Find a pen pal.
- Wish someone good luck.
- Thank your coach.
- Wish your friend(s) happy birthday.
Just as a reminder, flat and folded stationery is on sale through April 30th. So be sure to stock up on stationery for your entire family!
